Choose the Right Products
Some anti eye wrinkle creams and other anti aging products are not formulated for younger skin. Because skin gets thinner with age, anti aging products formulated for more mature skin tend to be too heavy for 20-somethings. Look for anti eye wrinkle creams and moisturizers that are lightweight, oil-free and contain anti-oxidants. Pay particular attention to nourishing the eye area, since that is often the first facial feature to show wrinkles.
Change Your Habits
If you find yourself making the same facial expression often, try to make a conscious effort to kick that habit. Squint at your computer monitor a lot? Try adjusting your monitor’s position, and take a few breaks away from your computer. Stop smoking. You already know how bad smoking is to your overall health. An added reason to quit is that it leads to premature wrinkles. Smokers will start noticing deep wrinkles early around their eyes – from squinting through irritating smoke – and mouth – from sucking in the smoke.
Wear Sunscreen
If you’re not already, get in the habit of wearing sunscreen every day. The less sun exposure you have now, the less eye wrinkles you’ll have later. Either apply sunscreen before your moisturizer, or find a moisturizer with sunscreen in it.
